The Lawrence County Historical Society invites you to a powerful presentation of the film “Finding Justice: The Untold Story of Women’s Fight for the Vote” followed by a lecture/Q&A session with the Executive Director of the Justice Bell Foundation.

“Finding Justice: The Untold Story of Women’s Fight for the Vote” is not only a film that inspires and empowers its viewers, it is also an important documentary that shares a history that for far too long went uncovered. The film is a testament to courage and resilience of the women who led the charge to secure women’s suffrage and speaks to the urgency of ensuring that women’s stories – like this one – are not left out of the history books.

The film “Finding Justice” and lecture/Q&A will be presented by Amanda Owen, Executive Director of the Justice Bell Foundation.

Amanda Owen is an author, filmmaker, and independent historian, and the cofounder and executive director of the Justice Bell Foundation. She wrote and directed the documentary Finding Justice: The Untold Story of Women’s Fight for the Vote, which premiered at the National Women’s History Museum and aired on PBS stations.
